I recently came across this brilliant French singer Indila on Spotify and I loved her immediately. Okay reasons why I love her; she is of French nationality with origins from Far East and North Africa. So why is this important it's because it translates into her music. She kinda sings in French with a buttery high tone which is almost reminiscence of Indian movies. I forgot to mention she is also of Indian heritage !
