#RANDOMS Coolest Pepsi Commercials According To Dee

3.....
My 3rd fave is the Beyonce, Jennifer and Beckham's Wild Things. Anything Beyonce ((In an authoritative voice)All Hail Queen Bey!!!....Lol) should be top of the list in my opinion but I didn't feel this commercial as much as I should have... I guess it's because there wasn't much singing. There was just this weird background noise going 'Wild Things' over and over again

2.....
Then the Spice Girls Move Over/Generation Next... perfect commerical. These girls epitomized the craze/wait for the next millennium. Everytime I saw them on T.V, I would literally think to myself when is the new millennium ? What is a new millenium? And why is everyone so stoked about it? (I clocked 8 in year 2000... so I honestly had no clue. When I did though I wanted to have another turn of the millennium happen with me being conscious of it... but unfortunately I don't want to live to 1008 years old)

1.....
Dun dun dun dun!!! Basically if the 'We Will Rock You pepsi commercial' never happened. I won't even be looking/waiting  for new pepsi commercials. I heard We Will Rock You on the radio in my neighbours house back in 2002. I was like what and who is that? Fast forward to 2010/2011 (P.S I didnt have internet connection until 2007) when I finally watched the video I was like where has this been all my life. The singing was off the chain, you had sultry Britney, gospel Beyonce and growly Pink. Everytime I listen to this I have goosebumps no lie.... Enjoy!

My Recap....thoughts, bits and pieces

Wendy didn't you notice K.Michelle?

I am a big Wendy fan and an up and coming entertainment blogger. I recently decided to review episodes of her show. Not in the typical sense because I plan to only focus on the parts I found riveting (hopefully you found them interesting as well... so reading this wouldn't be a waste of your time)

Inside Scoop

Lamar's Doing Better And The Kardashians Are Milking It

I don't why Wendy still discusses the Kardashians on her show.... okay scratch that I do know why but.... I just feel it's the same old same old.... SHE'S GOING TO LOOK VISIBLY IRRITATED ONCE THEIR NAME COMES UP....CALL THEM FAME WHORES AND EVIL IF KRIS JENNER IS PART OF THE MIX...LOL... And before I forget! I am happy Lamar is doing better now

Shia's Uncle Wife's Apartment = Shia's uncle is still owing him money

I don tire for this Shia matter (Shia's Uncle's debt news has been running for too long ).... That being said I believe there's more to this story. There has to be a reason (other than rich people
problems!) why someone worth $25M  would engage in a yearlong fight for less than a million (minus the interest that was recently added).

Hot Topics

Beyonce Tickets And SNL Skit
No SNL staffers or writers Beyonce was black in Pink Panther but White in L'Oréal commercials

And then importantly why didn't Wendy acknowledge K.michelle in Jason Derulo's video clip ?

Have You Watched 'The Motion' ?

There is nothing as cool as girl power. It has been a long time since any artist has blessed us with such awesomeness as this video. Yeah, I think at this point I should put a picture to make this more colourful...XD
Right! Seyi Shay, like how sexy is she?  She sang the chorus and effortlessly stole the song. I didn't want the song to finish because I wanted to keep on watching her, Like She Was Giving Me Life! I'll bless you with some of her sexiness below (and just in case you were wondering....yeah it's a chick writing this).
Here is one
Here is another one

I think a third one will be overkill... but oh well...
Why not ?
Then there was Eva and her awesomely toned tummy... People of God! I am going back to the gym! My best scene of hers....

I have never seen a ladder look that sexy!
And Cynthia kept those dance moves coming (just so it doesn't seem weird)That's all folks!

Who Is Prince Boom ?

I just watched this video Give Them by Prince Boom featuring Reekado Banks and Tekno. For most of the video I had no idea that it wasn't Reekado Banks' song and I kept on waiting to see Tekno. Who came in halfway into to music video and was both adorable and somewhat creepy at the same time. Tekno will always be adorable to me 'I AM A FAN' obviously.

When I finally realized the guy (Prince Boom) to the right (who apparently doesn't know how to do the sign of the cross...XD) wasn't just Reekado's right hand man.

I googled him (Prince Boom) and see what popped up (Look down at the second box) (if that's what it's called), Are y'all thinking what I'm thinking ? (What I am thinking: His name was inspired by The Artist Formerly Known As PRINCE and his song Boom.)

While waiting for Tekno and being entertained by half naked girls. I saw this (what is this?)
I have never seen this (colour changing cups) in any music video before... Definitely more riveting than them bosomy, cleavage baring chicks (I'm flat chested so I am most likely biased...XD).

Then Tekno finally arrived... Yay! (Honestly speaking I don't think I like Tekno that much I think I am overdoing it just to make this blog-post interesting... HOPE IT'S WORKING). First thing I noticed when he finally appeared was his questionable lyrics... 'You dey craze baby when you dance baby'. Hmm... that actually kinda make sense until you say it out loud. Then to top it off he had a 'Rock On' hand signal on while saying the aforementioned
Rock On ???

Then the creepy moment I can't put my head around is this steamy  moment to the right. Mr director why did this make the cut? Trust me I did not see the 'extra' girl in the black bikini until I watched this like 5 times. Tekno looks like he forgot he was on a video set, or perhaps it is just the editing. As reality stars say the producers made me look bad.

Three Reasons to Watch Jidenna's New Music Video

Who doesn't love a retro set
Jidenna's newest music video came out a while ago. All I could say after watching it was mehn this brother has vision. Okay lemme break it down, First of all, it was a retro set. It kinda had this Baz Luhrmann feel but with coloured people (please excuse my use of this phrase). It was like a live action version of Princess and the Frog and the cherry on top people. The lead dancers were styled in Ankara!!!
Also the dancers were dope, I really enjoyed watching them. The perv in me particularly liked the scene to the right. Perhaps if I could twerk like that I'll be making some cool paper by now...(IJS..... I know it's not that simple)

Just for your info or perhaps in an attempt to make this blog post look more professional and in turn longer. Ahem... Lastly, Jidenna could be classified as a triple threat (in some regards....IDK). As he sang, danced and obviously rapped in this music video. You should watch it!

Flash Back Friday #FBF
Am I the only one who finds it pervy that this photo was used to promote
This song ?

Simple Simple Simi

I remember the first time I heard her song 'Ogaju'. This was in 2010, then I was resident in Ibadan. I was in a taxi going to Ring Road, I was at Mokola roundabout  to be precise. She sounded like a bird, her vocals were so light but yet strong enough to command your attention.
Back then she was a gospel artist whose success was mainly in the West. Now she is Afropop artist on the rise. How things change! As a gospel artist her vocals were so powerful and commanding. Now she sounds more cute than powerful. Which I feel comes with the territory catering to the mainstream market and all.
What I feel has stuck and is unchanging is her demeanour. Simi comes of as a easy going, down to earth chick. Like people of God she performed with her natural hair! (or something that looks like her natural hair) on Ndani Sessions.

Ain't gonna lie she looks good in this edit  !
Then remember how awkward that dance scene was in 'Open and Close'. I still liked it though. Watching it I'm like awwh such a good girl she still has a bit of church her... XD. Joke!!! (I think it sounds kinda lame though... Oh well) I'm definitely looking forward to hearing more from her...

I Call Him My Wee Michael Jackson...XD

I'll go straight to the point on this one: Reasons To Like Tekno... (Who are my fooling ?) Reasons I! Like Tekno
1. He is a cool dancer... Obviously!
With all them MJ moves he definitely won my heart.
 2. He is super talented
Forget his questionable lyrics 'if you like karate I will teach you mathematics' Tekno- Wash, people he plays three musical instruments and produces.
3. He is a major clown.... This should have come in as number 1...

Unveiling Vic.O

This is my first celebrity interview, join me while I say..... YAY! Now back to the point. I got to learn about this artiste through friends who found his work more comical than impressive (to some people that might be an overstatement). I am a firm believer of not judging a book by its cover and from my discussion with this enigmatic figure. I can confidently say he is a poster boy for the latter adage.
So here is getting to know the enigma behind those videos that either left you puzzled or entertained.

Deinabo: When did you know you wanted you wanted to be a rapper ? How old were you ?
Vic O:   Music has always been a part of me, I knew I wanted to do it since I was 10 years

Deinabo: What inspires you ?
Vic O: The street, from my Dad, my neighbourhood both in Italy and Nigeria

Deinabo: Do you have a musician or musical person in your family ?
Vic O:   No I don't

Deinabo: So, you live in Italy, how did you get there ?
Vic O:  I got there through my aunt

Deinabo: While you were travelling there did you have it mind that you were going to pursue a career in music ?
Vic O:  Yes, I did. My plan was once I got the right time. I was even performing during my University days. I started releasing albums after I finished University

Deinabo: Was it difficult starting a music in Italy ?
Vic O: Yeah,

Deinabo: What was the toughest period ?
Vic O: In 2010 when I received those negative comments on my music videos. However, it did help me see my mistakes and where to improve on

Deinabo: Did you ever feel like giving up ? what kept you going ?
Vic O: God forbid! Taste are different I can't please everyone. I feel my confidence really keeps me going

Deinabo: What would you say your greatest achievement in life is ?
Vic O: Being more famous and getting to know more people

From my brief 20 minutes discussion with Victor Ncha Odu found me a kindred spirit. His hard work, confidence and drive are admirable. There is a lot people can learn from him.

1. He is about the hustle... #respectthehustle
When I asked him about having it mind to pursue a career in music when he got to Italy. He kept on saying 'I am a man' , (sorry I'll have to paraphrase here) He felt that he had to make things happen for himself as soon as he got the opportunity because he is a man. Although, I am a woman obviously. I could definitely relate I understand wanting to take charge of your life. Staring your fate towards the direction you want it and not letting chance be the determiner. He attended University, worked in his Aunt's bakery and still found time to perform at shows while in University.

2. He is driven and hardworking....
Here I feel like I am kinda repeating myself, but stick with me I think I have a point here (for having another heading).  People he kept a job, went to University and pursued in music all at once (P.S this is the beginning of my point XD). I know people will be like... and so others have done the same before what's the big deal. THE DEAL IS YOU HAVEN'T because if you have been through that struggle you would appreciate his hustle #respectthehustle (gratuitous, I know but sorry I couldn't resist). I think people find him comical because they would never put themselves in that space. A place where they are mediocre and are open to judgement. However, dude does agree that his work needs improvement and that although the negative backlash brings him down. He uses it to learn and see areas of improvement.

3. Boy is he CONFIDENT!
The man is confident about his work and most importantly in his self and it is this confidence that keeps him going. I asked this man did you ever feel like giving up. He gave me a resounding response "GOD FORBID". I think society has over feed the sermon of humility that it has made most of us spineless. We find it difficult to believe in ourselves and pursue our dreams and be confident in ourselves. We compare ourselves to other people looking for reason to dim our light down and feel we are not enough. It can be a good feeling because society is more accepting of you although they will feed you crumbs. Because at the end of the day (people if we are honest with ourselves) it's the confident ones that find the drive to fight for the price and in a nutshell people (a really big one at that XD) that's Vic O. It is his confidence that keeps doling out new music regardless of people's reactions.

Wata Iska: Di'Ja

A Breath of Fresh Air

To the left is Unlimited LA
Recently, I came across an interview with music video director Unlimited LA. In the interview he named Di'ja as one of the artists he finds difficult to work with. His reason she doesn't like to show skin. Ladies and Gentlemen that is the focus of this post like I was super elated to be privy to this information. Like for real a pop star who wants their clothes on, LIKE PEOPLE FOR REAL! (I will stop with the 'like's now. My point here is she is a break from the mold.

Listen to her old songs like private show, you'll see or hear (I think....for the life of me I don't which it should be) she is just like other female artists. She sings about love, sex and heartbreak like her counterparts. This is a beautiful talented woman who proves talent supersedes very gimmick. Her music is so beautiful and inspiring which explains why we don't notice how (extra) covered up she is.

Excerpts from the music video Falling for You coincidentally directed by Unlimited L.A. In both pictures she is so fully clothed. In the picture to the right the dancers have shabba's (long slit) at two sides of the skirts (remain small e resemble cloth for rag day) and their tanks top going on. People of God not only does she have no slits whatsoever, she is wearing a scarf! (Like it is that serious ooh)
I have never seen a belly dancers as clothed as Di'Ja in this music video. Her stylist deserves a round of applause, the costumes although different blended really well. It wasn't obvious it was a decency call.... Thanks L.A
